March and April are dry and warm (27-28°C) but March brings Spring Break crowds from the US. April is calmer and still has excellent beach conditions before hurricane season.
Hurricane season begins June 1 and peaks August-October. Temperatures stay warm (29°C) with afternoon tropical showers. Hotel prices are at their lowest and crowds are thin.
Peak hurricane risk September-October with the heaviest rain. November marks the return of dry season. Day of the Dead celebrations in early November add cultural depth.
Peak dry season (25-27°C) with the best weather and biggest crowds. Christmas and New Year are extremely popular and expensive. January and February are excellent with fewer crowds than March.
