Mild and increasingly sunny (13-17°C) as Porto shakes off winter rain. The Douro Valley turns green, and the Ribeira district is pleasant without summer crowds.
Warm and mostly dry (20-22°C). Sao Joao festival in June is Porto's biggest party — locals hit each other with plastic hammers and leap into the Douro. Beach days at Matosinhos.
September is warm (20°C) and coincides with the Port wine grape harvest in the Douro Valley. October stays mild but rain returns. A great time for food and wine tourism.
Rainy and cool (10-13°C) but Porto has soul in winter. Francesinha sandwiches, port wine by the fire, and atmospheric rain-soaked streets. Very affordable.
