Hot and dry (24-27°C) with guaranteed sunshine and the bluest Aegean waters. Peak season means 5+ cruise ships per day and Oia sunset viewpoint packed shoulder-to-shoulder.
September stays warm (24°C) with warm seas and significantly fewer visitors. October cools to 20°C — still pleasant. Some hotels start closing by late October.
Quiet and often rainy (11-16°C). Most tourist infrastructure closes. The island returns to local life. Not recommended unless you want solitude and don't need tourist services.

November through March is cheapest, but most hotels, restaurants, and tours close. Late October and early April offer budget-friendly rates with services still open.
May, June, and September offer the best conditions for caldera hiking, boat trips to the volcano, and beach-hopping between Red Beach, Kamari, and Perissa.
