The transition from wet to dry season (April-May). Rainfall decreases sharply, rice terraces are lush green, and accommodation prices are moderate. An excellent time for Ubud and interior exploration.
Peak dry season (June-August) with clear skies, calm seas, and ideal conditions for beach activities and diving. This is Bali's busiest period, especially in Seminyak and Kuta. Ubud stays slightly calmer.
September continues the dry season with warm weather and fewer crowds than July-August. October marks the transition toward wet season with occasional afternoon showers.
Wet season (November-March) brings daily tropical downpours, usually in the afternoon. Surfing conditions improve on the west coast. Prices drop except during Christmas/New Year.

Plan my Bali tripJuly, August, and the Christmas/New Year period are the busiest and most expensive times. Australian school holidays drive July-August demand. Accommodation in popular areas books out months ahead.
February and March offer the lowest prices during wet season. You'll deal with afternoon rain, but mornings are often clear and the island is beautifully lush.
May through September provides the best conditions for diving at Tulamben and Nusa Penida, surfing at Uluwatu, rice terrace trekking, and Mount Batur sunrise hikes.
